We are delighted to share with you that Southern Healthcare scooped the award for Care Employer of the Year at the annual South West Finals of the Great British Care Awards.
The award recognises South Healthcare’s commitment to care and the delivery of an excellent service. Winners of the prestigious award have to demonstrate entrepreneurial flair and considerable acumen in the care industry, whilst also proving they have a sustained track record of delivering high quality care and managing improvement.
Employees from across Southern Healthcare’s residential care properties attended the black tie event in Bristol. Southern Healthcare’s Managing Director, Geoffrey Cox said: “We are delighted with our award. At Southern Healthcare we pride ourselves on providing high quality care for our residents and that means employing the best carers. We have a large number of staff who have worked with us for many years and I think reflects the friendly and supportive workplace culture that we cultivate. This award is for all of our employees – they should be extremely proud of this achievement.”
In addition to the Care Employer of the Year, our team at Parkwood House were commended in the Care Team of the Year category, and Daniela Mustatia from Sefton Hall, was runner-up in the Social Care Nurse of the Year award, as reported in the Plymouth Herald.
