The atmosphere of the home is that of a snug family home, with comfortable bedrooms and cosy corners.
The Seaton has two lounges, one with a relaxing coffee area, a central dining room and a conservatory leading onto an attractive decked area, which has recently been refurbished and is used extensively in the warmer months to host parties and other outdoor events.
This area is easily accessible through the large doors to enable people to be as independent as possible.
Food is important to us at The Seaton, and we pride ourselves on our menus, with wholesome and appetising dishes lovingly prepared by our award winning resident chef.
Meals are beautifully presented and relationships are encouraged to flourish around the table for those who wish to join in.

The Seaton for over 2 years now.
The staff take good care of Mum helping her with her every day needs. They answer any questions I have regarding her needs. Before lockdown, I enjoyed meals with Mum which I can highly recommend. Nothing seems to be to much trouble for the staff.''
at the Seaton for the care and kindness they gave to my twin sister during the last two months of her life. Thanks also for looking after me and my daughter when we came to visit. Someone always helped me with the lifts as I can't manage stairs and the cup of tea and biscuits were always gratefully received! It has been a comfort to know that she was so well-liked and cared for, even though she was not there for long.''
So Much To Do
We like everyone living with us to have the chance to look and feel good – and so we have regular visits from a hairdresser, aromatherapist and chiropodist.
The home is a short distance from the beach and town, and residents are supported to do things within the community, fully embracing what Seaton has to offer, be it a visit to the beach or a bit of shopping in the little town.
There is always plenty going on within the Home too – from craft activities, music and baking to regular outings – either to take in the sea air or to venture further afield in the Southern Healthcare minibus.

At The Heart Of The Community
We take immense pride in being an essential part of life in the close-knit community of Seaton.
Families and friends of current and former residents play a key role in this – and we encourage them to think of the Seaton as being a home from home.
We aim to play a full role in the life of the community – and we encourage residents to embrace anything that they would like to become involved in, outside of the Home.
We also have a lot of fun within the Home too!
We always look forward to welcoming people in – whether this is to enjoy a vintage afternoon tea, or a Christmas fair.
The Eden Alternative Revalidation Report
We are delighted to have been awarded the Platinum Level (the highest you can achieve) in our recent revalidation of the Eden Alternative. This is when care is assessed by professional auditors from outside of the Company
Auditors carried out interviews with a selection of team members, residents and relatives, as well as taking surveys, audits, and photo-based evidence.
Auditors said: “Emma and the team at The Seaton have continued to develop the Eden principles and there has been some notable achievements and meaningful moments over the past year… The team have clearly continued to sustain the Eden principles and for that reason have been awarded PLATINUM level for this revalidation. Congratulations to Emma and all the team at The Seaton for this achievement”.
The registered manager told us that she embraced and encouraged the Eden philosophy. Many of the team and residents described The Seaton as being like ‘one big family’, where there was a lot of focus on building relationships with people. Overall, The Seaton has started to embed the principles of Eden into its day-to-day culture and has plans in place for this to continue and improve.”
