One of the Southern Healthcare group care homes has been selected for the final of the National Care Awards 2021.
Sefton Hall in Dawlish has been nominated in the Best Care Home, Best Care Team and Respect and Dignity (in a care home), categories. The awards celebrate excellence across the care sector, paying tribute to the individuals and organisations who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field. Judges look at the passion and commitment of organisations and individuals to delivering high standards of care.
The three National Care Awards nominations were welcomed by staff and residents’ families after what has been a difficult period in the care industry because of covid-19. Care Home Manager Gabriela Ogreanu said: “This is fantastic news coming after such a traumatic 18 months for our industry. It is a testament to the dedication and loyalty of all the staff at Sefton Hall. We are very proud of all of them.”
Winners of the National Care Awards will be announced at a virtual Awards Presentation held on Friday November 19 2021. The National Care Awards is an annual event organised by Caring Times magazine, a management magazine for the social care sector.
Caring Times reflects the opinions of the social care sector, focusing on news affecting the private, public and not-for-profit providers of nursing and residential care. The Awards were devised to celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector, by highlighting excellence and rewarding those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care. There were 18 categories to enter overall and there were four or five finalists in each category. All finalists are reviewed by two independent judges for each category.
